Human Resources Manager
Carrie joined Spirit of America as the Development Manager in August 2018 and is currently the Operations Manager.
Originally from New Jersey, Carrie volunteered to serve with the United States Peace Corps in Zambia as a Rural Educational Development Worker. While working in rural Zambia, she developed education programs for children, monitored local schools, and implemented projects, including the establishment of a new educational facility. After returning from Zambia, Carrie moved to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to teach elementary school. She then moved to Bamako, Mali, to continue working as an international educator. In Bamako she met her husband, a United States Marine.
Carrie earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from American University and a master’s from The College of New Jersey. She is multilingual, speaking both Spanish and French.
