Danny Santos currently serves as one of Spirit of America’s Asia-Pacific Project Managers. A Marine Special Forces combat veteran, he has significant experience in both the military and interagency sectors. Danny has been with Spirit of America since April 2021.

Danny previously worked with Spirit of America as a member of the Pacific Command Augmentation Team in Manila, Philippines, where he was assigned to provided strategic assistance by devising and implementing counterterrorism operations in line with US country team strategy. His work, in partnership with US Military/Special Operations, as well as Interagency stakeholders, was critical to building host nation capabilities and improving the safety and survivability of deployed US personnel.

Prior to joining Spirit of America, Danny served 20 years as a Marine Raider where he worked throughout the Middle East, Asia Pacific regions, and Western Africa. While deployed, he conducted multiple counterterrorism, counter-narcotics, and security force assistance operations in various countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Mauritania, Senegal, Thailand, and Malaysia. He now manages Spirit of America projects throughout the Philippines, Mongolia, and Myanmar.

Danny received his Bachelor of Arts from New England College where he focused on International Relations and Foreign Policy. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business from the University of Southern California. Danny is a native of Los Angeles, California, and an avid surfer.
