Dori O’Donnell
Chief Financial Officer

Dori O’Donnell is the Chief Financial Officer with Spirit of America. Dori is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s financial management, including financial accounting and reporting, payroll, human resources management, and financial planning. Dori has over 20 years of experience managing financial, operations, and administrative teams for a broad range of organizations in nonprofit, higher education, and consulting sectors. Before joining Spirit of America, Dori served as the director of finance for the Economic Studies program at the Brookings Institution. She also directed metrics, analytics, and finance for several other non-profit organizations in the Washington, DC, area. From 2009 to 2014 she was the director of administration and financial operations for the School of Professional and Extended Studies at American University in Washington, DC. Before American University, Dori served as the financial controller for KPMG, LLP in their Basel, Switzerland office.
Dori holds a Master’s of Business Administration from American University and has an undergraduate degree in political science from Santa Clara University.
