The Spirit of America Story

After the attacks of 9/11, Jim Hake wanted to do his part. Jim was an entrepreneur and businessperson. Although he had no government or military experience, he did have a profound appreciation for America’s freedoms, values, and ideals. He viewed them as the best path to the better life people everywhere aspire to, and he wanted to do what he could to protect them.

As Jim considered how he might help, he learned about US Army Special Forces Sergeant Jay Smith, who brought happiness and hope to a remote village in Afghanistan through the help of Americans back home. Watch what happened next.
