SoA veterans on Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! At Spirit of America, we’re thankful to have a team of dedicated staff and supporters who are invested in the American ideals of freedom and security. This Thanksgiving, we thought it would be fun to share some of the personal stories of our Field Team, a group of veterans who have dedicated their lives to making the world a better place. We’re thankful for them. And, this is what they’re thankful for on this most American of holidays. zb_bio_circle Zack Bazzi, Project Manager – Middle East I’m thankful to be home for the holidays. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is spending time with family and friends while watching football. My favorite Thanksgiving food is turkey leftovers. They always hit the spot!     cc_bio_circleChris Clary, Project Manager – Europe I’m thankful I have the opportunity to continue to work with incredible Americans and their local partners around the world. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is eating too much food and playing football with my cousins. My favorite Thanksgiving food is turkey! (And smoked venison)     nd_bio_circleNicholette Doliva, Project Manager – Latin America I’m thankful for my family and loved ones who support me in the job I’m passionate about – even though it means being away from them for long periods of time. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is eating a ton and working it off by playing with my nieces and nephew. My favorite Thanksgiving food is Mom’s broccoli and cheese bake.   ie-bio-pic_circleIsaac Eagan, Vice President – Field Operations I’m thankful for having the opportunity to work with a passionate, committed team on a cause we really believe in. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is reveling in my beloved Green Bay Packers’ dismantling of their NFC North rivals (or, in this year’s case, suffering through their mediocrity). My favorite Thanksgiving food is grilled meat products of all varieties, though preferably wild game.   gl_bio_circleGabe LaMois, Project Manager – Middle East and North Africa I’m thankful I’ve found a supportive post-Army environment that allows me to stay involved and support the safety and success of our personnel overseas. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is relaxing and enjoying time with family. My favorite Thanksgiving food is the leftovers!   cvj_bio_circleChris VanJohnson, Project Manager – Africa I’m thankful I’m able to work with incredible partners on the frontlines of US efforts overseas, all with the support of my incredible wife. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is napping off a solid food coma on the couch, surrounded by family. My favorite Thanksgiving food is leftover turkey sandwiches with cranberry sauce and stuffing.   From the SoA family to yours, have a wonderful Thanksgiving. From time to time, we forget all we enjoy in life, but on a day like today, join us in appreciating those blessings! The Spirit of America Team
