Veterans Day: Joining hands in common purpose

Fellow citizens, Please join us today in reflecting on the sacrifices made by Americans in service to our country. When President Eisenhower issued the first “Veterans Day Proclamation” in 1954, he spoke of all citizens joining hands in common purpose to recognize this sacrifice. The commitment to service and dedication to country exemplified by our veterans represents America at its best. As we join hands in common purpose to salute the men and women who have worn the uniform, let us also reflect on how each of us can embrace and act upon that commitment and dedication. To all America’s veterans, and especially those continuing to serve their country as part of Spirit of America, thank you for your service and for the example you set! The Spirit of America Team P.S. Check out this great article about how to talk to a veteran: https://warontherocks.com/2017/11/how-to-talk-to-a-veteran/ You can also learn more about our all-veteran field team here.
Spirit of America is the only 501(c)(3) non-profit working alongside US servicemembers and diplomats to improve their safety and success. In 2018, Congress recognized us as a partner in “supporting the missions of deployed United States personnel around the world.”
