Regional Program Manager - EUROPE
Nick joined Spirit of America in January 2018 as the Europe Project Manager.
Prior to joining SoA, Nick served on active duty with the US Army for more than 8 years. He finished his active duty time with the 4th PYSOP Group (Airborne), headquartered at Fort Bragg, NC.
As a PYSOP officer, Nick worked with Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR), and led the first US team to establish direct relationships with allied active, reserve, and special operations PSYOP units in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland, as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve. He was awarded the Divisions of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Medal for Distinguished Service from the commander of the National Defense Volunteer Forces in recognition for his work in the region.
Before that, he served as a detachment commander attached to Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT), and worked in Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq to provide PSYOP support to US and allied commanders and develop messaging strategies and products to counter Islamic State of Syria and the Levant (ISIL) influence.
Nick was commissioned as an Armor officer in 2009. He served in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment as a tank troop executive officer, tank platoon leader, and anti-tank infantry platoon leader.
Before joining the Army, Nick earned his bachelor’s degree with a focus in Russian and Eastern European studies and political science with honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
