Project Manager - Asia Pacific
After spending nearly 10 years supporting the Marine Corps, Army Special Forces, and various Navy units, Terrell Chandler joined Spirit of America in August 2017. As a member of the Navy Reserve, in 2014 Terrell completed a combat tour in Afghanistan as part of Naval Special Warfare’s Cultural Engagement Unit where she supported Navy SEALs and Army Special Forces. While deployed, she worked in partnership with Spirit of America to deliver humanitarian aid to support the local population and further the US mission. She also developed curriculum and delivered critical training for a military exchange between US and female partner forces in Southwest Asia – the first of its kind.
After high school, Terrell attended a leadership and missions driven program based in San Diego, where she completed humanitarian and economic development missions in Southern Mexico, French Polynesia, and South Africa. During this program, she developed a passion for helping local populations in underdeveloped countries. This experience and strong sense of purpose prompted her to enlist in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman.
Terrell now manages Spirit of America projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region and is completing a degree in Leadership for Emergency Management and Disaster Response from George Washington University.
