Sailer Perkins is a senior associate program manager on the Africa portfolio at Spirit of America.

Sailer has worked for more than six years in the defense and development space, primarily within government and the military. Before joining Spirit of America in 2025, Sailer was a contracted Information Officer at USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, where she covered humanitarian crises and U.S. government responses around the world. She also served as a Civil Affairs noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, including a deployment to East Africa.

Sailer holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the Bush School at Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and political science from the University of Mississippi.
