Ashley Scott joined the Spirit of America team in January 2025 as the Special Assistant to the CEO, Jim Hake. In this role she provides detailed logistical support and coordinates scheduling and communications for the chief executive’s office.

Immediately prior to joining Spirit of America, Ashley served as the Associate Director for National Security Agency Personnel in the Office of Presidential Personnel during the Biden-Harris Administration. She previously served as the Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness in the Department of Defense. Ashley started her career at Blue Star Families, a nonprofit that serves military- and veteran-connected families and communities.

Ashley grew up in Norfolk, Virginia before attending Phillips Academy Andover and later receiving an AB from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs and a certificate in French. She is proud to call Washington, DC home.
