Grace Mahony is the Associate Writer in the Office of the CEO providing flexible writing support to all teams. She initially joined Spirit of America in June 2025 as a field operations intern.

Before joining Spirit of America, Grace spent much of her undergraduate experience researching the impacts of violence on conflict-affected communities and displaced populations. Part of this work was in Denmark, where she volunteered with a legal aid clinic to help unaccompanied minors and forcibly displaced families navigate the asylum process. Her observations during this time led her to write a thesis on international refugee and human rights law, which she later presented at the University of London’s Refugee Law Institute’s annual conference.

She graduated from the University of Delaware in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts with honors and distinction in public policy and an honors Bachelor of Arts in international relations. Now, Grace is continuing her studies at Georgetown’s Master of Science in foreign service program where she is pursuing coursework in humanitarian crisis management, impact analysis, conflict stabilization, and international negotiations. She plans to graduate in May 2027.
