Mr. Papineau has over 30 years of experience in National Security and Special Operations with success and accomplishment in both the government and private sector enterprises.
Mr. Papineau spent 23 years in government service as a Naval Special Warfare (SEAL) Officer in a variety of command, staff, and operational billets, participating in combat and sensitive operations worldwide. For the first 10 years of his naval career, Mr. Papineau served in the enlisted ranks and received his commission from the U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School in 1987. The last seven years of his military career were dedicated to the development of national-level capabilities and strategies to help counter the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) for U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM).
After his retirement from the Navy, Mr. Papineau joined Applied Marine Technology, Inc. (AMTI) in July 2000, where he served as Division Manager for Special Programs, Senior Vice President for Homeland Security, Executive Vice President for Corporate Development and Strategic Planning, and was promoted to President and CEO in July 2006. As President and CEO, Mr. Papineau led the successful sale of AMTI to SAIC in December 2006.
Mr. Papineau currently serves as a business consultant and has served as a director on multiple for and non-profit organizations. Mr. Papineau, co-chaired the committee that lead the merger of the Naval Special Warfare Foundation with the Navy SEAL Warrior Foundation resulting in the creation of the Navy SEAL Foundation. The Navy SEAL Foundation is now nationally recognized as a “best practice” SOCOM support non-profit organization dedicated to serving active duty personnel and their families.
