Lauren Pauer

Director, Marketing & Communications

Lauren Pauer is director of marketing and communications at Spirit of America, where she leads integrated marketing and communications efforts that support the organization’s brand and development goals. She is responsible for donor communications and campaigns, content strategy and impact storytelling, digital growth, and brand management.

For nearly 20 years, Lauren has helped mission-driven organizations increase their visibility, deepen engagement with key audiences, and drive philanthropic support. Before joining Spirit of America in 2020, she served as senior director of content strategy for Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where she led multi-platform content creation and shaped the school’s brand across seven degree programs and 10 centers, initiatives, and institutes. She also edited the school’s biannual alumni magazine, with a readership of 25,000. She previously managed communications and editorial strategies for Sidwell Friends School and supported communications, media relations, and professional conference marketing for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.

Lauren holds a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Syracuse University.
