Director of Communications
Lauren Pauer is Director of Communications at Spirit of America, where she leads integrated marketing and communications efforts that support the organization’s brand and development goals. She is responsible for donor communications, content strategy, audience growth, and media relations.
Lauren has over 15 years of communications experience in the nonprofit and education sectors. Before joining Spirit of America in 2020, she served as senior director of content strategy for Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where she led multi-platform content creation and managed the school’s brand across seven degree programs and 10 centers, initiatives, and institutes. She also edited the school’s biannual alumni magazine, with a readership of 25,000. She previously worked in communications for Sidwell Friends School and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
Lauren holds a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Syracuse University.
