Naseam Alavi brings over a decade of experience leading strategic programs and partnerships across federal agencies, city government, and nonprofit sectors. Her career includes roles at USAID, the US Department of Education, the Department of Homeland Security, the White House, and the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, where she focused on international engagement, strategic planning, and cross-sector coordination.
A first-generation Iranian American, Naseam is deeply committed to democracy promotion, locally grounded solutions, and advancing America’s values abroad. Her work reflects a dedication to inclusive governance and global collaboration. She holds an MSc in Human Rights and Sociology from the London School of Economics and a BA in International Relations from UCLA.
