Sandra Jocson is the Senior Staff Accountant at Spirit of America, where she supports a wide range of accounting functions to ensure the organization’s continued success.

Prior to joining Spirit of America in August 2023, she was a Lease Accountant at one of the top five largest U.S. health care systems. She has twelve years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She previously served at Operation Smile, an international medical charity, in the capacity of Accounts Payable, In-Kind Time and Financial Reporting. She also worked for three local CPA firms in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Virginia and experienced a number of busy tax seasons.

Sandra was born in Hawaii. Her father was in the military and was stationed in Virginia Beach where she was raised. Sandra attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk where she earned her bachelor’s degree and double majored in Accounting and Finance.
