Stephanie Schwartzkopf
Director, Program Operations
Stephanie Schwartzkopf is an operations and international development leader with more than 18 years of experience managing complex programs, financial systems, and field operations in fragile and high‑risk environments. She serves as director of program operations at Spirit of America, where she oversees the systems, processes, and resources that enable high-impact initiatives in support of U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives.
Previously, Stephanie spent nearly two decades at DAI, a leading international development firm. As director of operations for USAID’s integrated natural resource management activity, she led operations, finance, procurement, and human resources across more than 70 activities involving over 30 USAID operating units, stewarding a budget of $35 million. Earlier, she managed a USAID-funded water, sanitation, and hygiene program in Kenya, overseeing $5 million in infrastructure investments and pioneering a recoverable grants model that expanded the program’s reach. She also worked DAI’s Afghanistan portfolio, supporting the Agriculture Credit Enhancement Program, which provided Islamic financing to farmers and agribusinesses.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics and international studies from the University of Richmond.
