Terrell currently serves as the Senior Regional Program Manager for Spirit of America’s Indo-Pacific program, returning to the region after leading the organization’s global field operations. She manages a portfolio of assistance initiatives supporting US partner objectives across Taiwan, the Philippines, Japan, and other parts of the Asia-Pacific.
Terrell first joined Spirit of America in 2017, where she built the Asia-Pacific program from the ground up. From 2021 to 2023, she served as Spirit of America’s Director of Field Operations, overseeing the organization’s international programs and deployments. She led the team’s response to the 2021 Afghan evacuation and deployed to Europe in early 2022 — just days after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine — to help establish Spirit of America’s end-to-end logistics network that remains operational today.
Terrell has over a decade of service in the US Navy Reserve and has served with the Marine Corps, Army Special Forces, and various Navy units. In 2014 she deployed to Afghanistan as a member of Naval Special Warfare’s Cultural Engagement Unit, supporting Navy SEALs and Army Special Forces as part of a Cultural Support Team. While deployed, she worked in partnership with Spirit of America to deliver humanitarian aid to support the local population and further the US mission. She also developed curriculum and delivered critical training for a military exchange between US and female partner forces in Southwest Asia — a first of its kind.
A lifelong learner, Terrell holds advanced training and operational experience in humanitarian response to conflict and disaster, civil-military engagement, crisis logistics, and international program management.
