After spending over 10 years in the Navy Reserves supporting the Marine Corps, Army Special Forces, and various Navy units, Terrell Chandler joined Spirit of America as the lead for all Asia-Pacific programming in 2017. As a member of the Navy Reserve, in 2014 she completed a combat tour in Afghanistan as part of Naval Special Warfare’s Cultural Engagement Unit where she supported Navy SEALs and Army Special Forces, as a member of a Cultural Support Team. While deployed, she worked in partnership with Spirit of America to deliver humanitarian aid to support the local population and further the US mission. She also developed a curriculum and delivered critical training for a military exchange between US and female partner forces in Southwest Asia — the first of its kind.

After managing Spirit of America’s field operation team as Deputy Director from 2019-2020, Terrell assumed the role of Director of Field Operations in 2021, and became Senior Regional Program Manager – Asia Pacific in 2024.
