Travis Horne serves as the Director of External Relations for Spirit of America, where he leads efforts to elevate the organization’s visibility and amplify its impact and thought leadership among US policymakers, national security experts, think tanks, and the media.

With more than a decade of experience at the nexus of strategic communications and international affairs, Travis has helped advance US engagement through innovative storytelling and coalition building.

Before joining Spirit of America, Travis served as the Communications Director for a senior member of Congress on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Previously, he led media relations and strategic communications at the Atlantic Council, a leading international affairs think tank in Washington, DC. Earlier in his career, Travis directed communications and congressional outreach at the US Commission on International Religious Freedom, an independent and bipartisan federal agency.

Travis holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the University of South Carolina and completed a study abroad program in Seville, Spain.
