Unya Altansukh

Senior Associate Program Manager, Asia-Pacific

Unya Altansukh joined Spirit of America in October 2022 as Social Media and Brand Marketing Manager and transitioned to the Asia-Pacific team in December 2024. She currently serves as a Senior Associate Program Manager, managing projects and partnerships across the region with a focus on strengthening resilience, emergency preparedness, and partner capacity.

Before joining Spirit of America, Unya served for three years supporting the Defense Attaché Office at the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia as a Cultural Advisor to U.S. Special Operations Command Pacific. In that role, she advised on cultural and regional issues, facilitated engagement with senior government and military officials, and supported security cooperation activities between U.S. and Mongolian partners. Earlier in her career, she worked in public relations with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

Unya holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an MBA with a concentration in global affairs. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has also earned a Social Media Marketing Certificate from Cornell University. She is fluent in both Mongolian and English.
