Christopher White

Regional Director – Africa

Christopher White leads Spirit of America’s work in Africa. He oversees a team to strengthen US-Africa partnerships and deliver tangible results in pursuit of freedom, security, and economic opportunities on the continent.

Chris is a former Presidential Management Fellow and USAID Foreign Service Officer with over fifteen years of experience in national security policy, peacebuilding, and international development. He has lived and worked in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and Serbia, and managed complex initiatives to advance US interests throughout Africa. Most recently, he served as Director for African Affairs at the White House National Security Council.

Chris holds a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University and a dual bachelor’s degree in government and history from the College of William and Mary. Originally from Boston, Chris is a former enlisted Marine and a veteran of the Iraq War.
