Syria: ”a life or death difference”
Greetings,
A few weeks ago, I wrote to you to share a very urgent need.
In Syria, families fleeing ISIS’s last stronghold were forced out of their homes in the dead of night with nothing but the clothes on their back. They were not prepared for the cold, exhausting journey, without food or water. US troops on the ground in Syria identified the need for critical lifesaving supplies, and we reacted within 48 hours.
With the help of our donors, we were able to deliver over 1,500 boxes of food aid and 15,000 liters of drinking water. To all who gave, your support helped meet this dire need, saving innocent Syrian lives and supporting our troops in the region.
A US officer explained the importance of the project:
“When fleeing ISIS, civilians often leave with nothing but the clothes on their back. They arrive at the screening points exhausted, disoriented, and nearly starving. With no food available, there were reported cases of people reverting to eating animal feed and grass. At least one civilian died. The food aid provided by Spirit of America made a life or death difference…“
Thank you to all who have supported this project; your donation exemplifies American goodwill and generosity. If you have not yet given, please consider making a donation by clicking here so we may continue supporting this project and others like it.
Until next time,
Zack Bazzi
