Expand opportunities for higher education in Cambodia

This project is fully funded. Thank you!

Your Impact

Spirit of America spent $730.07 on college prep books.

THIS PROJECT IS FULLY FUNDED. THANK YOU!

Many talented young Cambodians dream of pursuing higher education and studying abroad in the US, but lack the opportunity due to economic and educational barriers. The US Embassy in Phnom Penh and local NGOs are able to offer free tutoring and counseling to students who want to pursue higher education. However, many of the local organizations lack the required study materials to successfully prepare students for the challenging college entrance exams.

Mekong Dialogue Institute (MDI), is one of the local NGOs working to give students the skills they need to pursue their dream of studying abroad. With your support, Spirit of America and the US Embassy can provide MDI with the exact study materials that the students need to prepare to take test such as the TOEFL, iBT, ACT, and SAT. Helping these students prepare for college entrance exams and to compete for scholarships to finance their education at US universities will strengthen America’s relationship with some of the best and brightest young Cambodians.
