On Tuesday, December 12, Spirit of America held a virtual briefing to discuss why Taiwan matters and how Spirit of America is supporting Taiwanese efforts to preserve security and prevent crises.
CEO Jim Hake was joined by Enoch Wu, founder and Executive Director of the Taiwanese Forward Alliance organization, and Spirit of America Asia-Pacific Regional Director Joshua Brandon.
Enoch Wu founded Forward Alliance to train Taiwanese citizens in emergency response skills needed in the event of any crisis. He served on Taiwan’s National Security Council from 2017 to 2019 and was responsible for homeland security and critical infrastructure protection. He is a reserve noncommissioned officer with the Taiwan Army Special Forces Command and in 2022 was named one of the 100 Next, Time Magazine’s annual list of global leaders.
