Spirit of America recently visited our US military partners, Army Special Operations Forces (USSOF), in Europe to deliver new assistance, assess our impact, and identify emerging needs. Despite the recent and ongoing changes in international aid, our programs in Ukraine remain fully operational. Your support is more critical than ever in helping to defend Ukraine and save lives.
Spirit of America Ukraine program updates
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion began in February 2022, we have delivered over $63 million in nonlethal frontline assistance to enable Ukrainian soldiers to move, protect themselves, and get medical assistance — as well as humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian youth affected by the war. This front-line assistance is made up of mobile phones, tablets, laptops, Starlink systems, thermal mitigating gear, surveillance drones, drone jammers, rebuilt military trucks, 4×4 pickup trucks, vans, SUVs, night vision goggles, advanced trauma kits and much, much more.

With Spirit of America’s support, USSOF is engaged in a “train and equip” mission in support of Ukraine Special Operations Forces, with plans to scale up beyond their current resourcing if there is a ceasefire. Nearly 100% of drones and components utilized by US Special Forces to train Ukrainians are Spirit of America-provided. Procurement restrictions prevent the US government from acquiring and delivering these critical devices to servicemembers.
Since the beginning of 2025, Spirit of America has delivered 50 drones and components worth $250,000. Without Spirit of America support, the USSOF Unmanned Aerial Systems training program would shutter in under 3 months on United States Government supply alone. The result would be a loss of a key intelligence source for the US military tactics development.
Spirit of America has also made an $88,650 investment into Battle Lab, a deployed R&D facility backed by United States Special Operations Command and MIT to support life-saving innovations. Though the lab is operational, innovation, prototyping, and general output is slowed by lack of flexible funding, delaying important, potentially life-saving projects. Spirit of America has made an asymmetric impact by providing easily accessed funds.
The first prototype project the Battle Lab fielded was a 3D-printed drone designed to intercept and neutralize deadly Iranian-made Shahed drones. This project underwent on-site testing and design using Spirit of America-provided lab equipment and 3D printing capabilities. With additional support it could be field tested in Ukraine within the month.
