250 years of the US Army

Celebrating the Army’s 250th Birthday
Tuesday, June 17
2:00 pm EDT (11:00 am PDT)
Spirit of America is honoring 250 years of the US Army with a special virtual event featuring Lt. General (Retired) Ben Hodges, Brigadier General (Retired) Kim Field, and Ambassador and Lt. Colonel (Retired) Roger Carstens on Tuesday, June 17, at 2 pm EDT.
Hodges is the former Commanding General of US Army Europe and former Commander of NATO Allied Land Command. Field, before serving in her final role in the military as the Joint Staff Deputy Director for Political-Military Affairs for the Middle East, was the Deputy Director of Strategy, Plans and Policy for the Army, responsible for developing and articulating strategic plans and policies to guide the Army into the future. Carstens, in addition to recently being the former Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs, served in Special Forces and the 1st Ranger Battalion. All three distinguished veterans are West Point graduates with nearly 90 years of combined military experience in a variety of geopolitical arenas.
Field, Carstens, and Hodges will provide personal insights on moving through the ranks of the military, as well as unique perspectives on the Army’s history and the legacy it builds upon as it takes on today’s challenges. We hope you will join us for this important conversation moderated by our founder and CEO Jim Hake.
