SoA’s Chris Clary deploys to Afghanistan
Chris Clary, a member of the SoA team since 2013, has been called up and is deploying to Afghanistan with his Army National Guard unit. This will be the third time Chris has deployed as a Soldier to Afghanistan. Here he is on a prior deployment.
We are very proud of Chris and wholeheartedly support his deployment. But his dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to service will be sorely missed – so will his sense of humor. We expect him back at Spirit of America in early 2016.
In support of US personnel and their difficult missions, Chris has helped policemen in Afghanistan, seaweed farmers in the Philippines and students in Bangladesh.
Chris joined the Spirit of America team as a Field Representative in Afghanistan where he worked alongside US troops managing SoA projects throughout the country.
After Afghanistan, Chris returned to our Los Angeles office to focus on Spirit of America’s work supporting US teams in the Asia-Pacific region. He has developed projects from Bangladesh to Vietnam, and everywhere in between. And when we needed him in Iraq, Chris pitched in to help. You may recall the great work he did helping children who escaped ISIS.
Chris: we miss you already, and we can’t wait for you to get back.
Please join us in wishing Chris a safe and successful deployment to Afghanistan.
