After participating in September’s National Disaster Preparedness Day exercises, Spirit of America’s Asia-Pacific team continues to support our partners in Taiwan. Please join us on Wednesday, November 20, to learn how everyday Taiwanese citizens are training to save lives, protect their communities, and prevent crises.

In this 30-minute briefing, CEO Jim Hake will be joined by Enoch Wu, founder and executive director of the Taiwanese organization Forward Alliance, and Spirit of America Asia-Pacific Regional Director Joshua Brandon.

Enoch Wu founded Forward Alliance to train Taiwanese citizens in emergency response skills needed in the event of a crisis. He served on Taiwan’s National Security Council from 2017 to 2019 and was responsible for homeland security and critical infrastructure protection. He is a reserve noncommissioned officer with the Taiwan Army Special Forces Command and in 2022 was named one of the 100 Next, Time Magazine’s annual list of global leaders.
