Wayne Zinn
Chief of International Operations
Wayne Zinn became Spirit of America’s Chief of International Operations in 2021. He first joined Spirit of America as a member of its Advisory Board in 2017.
Wayne is an entrepreneur with 35 years of public, private, and nonprofit leadership experience. Over his career, he has operated in more than 70 countries, with substantive expertise in healthcare, community development, technology, finance, defense, and military special operations. This includes a 20-year career in the US Marine Corps, where he served in a myriad of roles across the globe. Experienced in developing rapid-growth strategies, Wayne is a visionary, executer, and leader. He is known as a champion for ethical leadership and a “service to all” philosophy.
Previously, Wayne served as the president and co-founder of One Matters, Inc. “Food for Good,” a start-up that provides environmentally neutral and nutritious food while enhancing the lives of veterans and young adults with special needs through the power of agri-therapy and jobs. Prior to that, Wayne worked as Chief Operating Officer at Operation Smile, an international medical charity. There he drove substantial growth in revenue and led operations in more than 60 countries and for 41 affiliated organizations.
He has also helped build and lead several technology companies, including Lifesaver USA, DOMA Technologies, Professional Solutions, Altair Technologies, and Applied Marine Technology Inc (AMTI), which received multiple awards including the Inc. 500/5000 Fastest Growing Company in the US, Best Places to Work, Community Leader, Hi-Tech Company of the Year, and more.
