Spirit of America is honoring 250 years of the US Navy with a special virtual event featuring Admiral (Retired) Eric Olson, Admiral (Retired) Scott Swift, and former Navy Reservist Terrell Chandler.

Olson was the first naval officer to lead US Special Operations Command, and the first Navy SEAL to achieve three and four-star ranks. During his career, he also served as a senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security. Before serving in his final military role as the 35th Commander of the US Pacific Fleet, Swift served as Director of Navy Staff and Director of Operations at US Pacific Command. Both Olson and Swift serve on the Spirit of America Advisory Board and combined boast 78 years of Naval service. Chandler currently serves as the Senior Regional Program Manager for Spirit of America’s Asia Pacific team and has worked for the organization for the last eight years. During her time as a reservist, Chandler was part of the Naval Special Warfare’s Cultural Engagement Unit and first interacted with Spirit of America while on deployment in Afghanistan.

Olson, Swift, and Chandler will share personal stories from their Naval experiences and offer insights on the history of the institution, as well as its enduring legacy in the future.
