Happy Thanksgiving!

Greetings, Headlines chronicle violence, uncertainty, and intolerance around the world. And yet, this Thanksgiving we have so much to be grateful for. Here are just a few things that we at Spirit of America are thankful for this year. The brave men and women who serve America abroad We’re thankful for the sacrifices of Americans serving around the world. Our troops and diplomats are striving every day to make this planet a better and safer place, often putting their lives on the line for those of us back home. Our own Chris Clary is among this group, as he has been called away from his Spirit of America duties by the Army to deploy to Afghanistan for the third time.

America’s friends, allies and partners We’re thankful for the local partners, friends and allies working alongside US personnel in global hotspots. Without their motivation and commitment to improve the lives of their families and communities, our troops would be facing insurmountable barriers. Change starts on the ground, and courageous US partners are leading that change under circumstances we cannot imagine.

Spirit of America supporters We’re thankful for all the donors that have joined us in supporting these brave Americans and their allies. From a businessman in San Francisco to a teacher in Milwaukee to a military mother in New York, we’re profoundly proud – and profoundly grateful – for all of you who have partnered with us. map-cropped And, we’re thankful for the great folks we have on the Spirit of America team, both the veterans on the field team and everyone who works behind the scenes to make sure we can provide the best support possible to those who need it most. That’s just the beginning of the list, but it reminds us that there is a lot of good in the world and that we have so much to be thankful for. A very Happy Thanksgiving to you all, The Spirit of America Team
Spirit of America is the only 501(c)(3) non-profit working alongside US servicemembers and diplomats to improve their safety and success. In 2018, Congress recognized us as a partner in “supporting the missions of deployed United States personnel around the world.”
