Remembering 9/11, and we’re in this together
Friends,
Friday marks the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. We remember those who were killed that day, and those who have served and sacrificed since.
Many things have changed since 9/11. The threats to America’s security and way of life have grown and are more difficult and complex. Terrorism persists. Russia and the Chinese Communist Party seek to impose a dark and regressive model of human liberty and dignity on the world — and undermine confidence in America and our ideals. Even more troubling, in America we seem to have lost much of the unity, and confidence in what America stands for, that we had after 9/11.
Please watch this short video with Ambassador Ryan Crocker. He shares an important observation about the 9/11 attacks and a reminder that “we are all in this together.”
Very respectfully,
Jim Hake
Chief Executive Officer
PS: The 9/11 attacks motivated me to found Spirit of America. That story is in my TED talk.
